In the last year and a half, the global use of artificial intelligence has taken giant strides forward – in everyday life and in the battlefield. Some scientists see AI as the solution to all of humanity’s current problems, while others believe it will destroy humanity. There is still no international regulation of AI, and distrust between states, geopolitical rivalries and arms races are making sure there is none. The biggest problem, paradoxically, is that the use of AI is becoming more and more convenient for us and makes our lives easier, while everything that AI can do in civilian life can be used for military purposes at the snap of a finger.
